If you're fixing up an old "Boat Anchor" for use, you can find service manuals to download for free at www.bama.sbc.edu or the mirror website at www.bama.edebris.com .This website covers mostly old tube gear like Heathkits,Hallicrafters,Hammarlund,National and early solid state gear.Test equipment and some tubes (Valves) are covered as well.BAMA stands for "Boat Anchors Manufacturers Archives" It has many useful links to other free websites with manuals for ham gear and military equipment.If you have manuals for old equipment you can upload them or request manuals that are not listed.

Amateur Radio Exams

The Anne Arundel Radio Club (AARC) VE Team conducts Amateur Radio License Examinations on the second Saturday of every month at the AARC clubhouse, located at the Davidsonville Family Recreation Center, 3789 Queen Anne Bridge Road, Davidsonville, MD. The sponsoring VEC is the Laurel VEC.

Registration starts at Noon and testing begins at 1:00pm and as always, testing is FREE. Pre-registration is preferred but walk-ins are OK.

Congratulations to all the participants. 1st Place finishers in each category will receive a plaque. Everyone else will receive a certificate. High score in each category from their state will receive an additional certificate. We hope you had fun and hope to hear you on the air next year!
